Abstract:
In recent years, the burden of mental disorders has increased and there has been a growing recognition of the significant impact that mental health has on achieving global development goals. Our mental health is essential to our overall health and well-being, both individually and as a community. So, it is essential that we change our attitudes, behaviors, and methods in order to support and safeguard mental health, and offer assistance and support to those who require it especially in developing countries which suffer from more shortcomings and deficiencies. Concerning public health in Iran, mental health holds great significance, but it comes with its own set of issues. The focus of this article is to describe and discuss the status of mental health in developing countries, and provide insights into the realm of mental health within Iran based on the latest studies and reports.
