Abstract:

Artificial intelligence, characterized by machines emulating human cognitive functions, has become a pivotal force in transforming traditional engineering practices. The definition of AI encompasses systems capable of learning, reasoning, problem-solving, and decisionmaking, either in narrow-task applications or broad-ranging contexts. This article explores the transformative impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on civil engineering and marine industries. In civil engineering, AI optimizes structural designs, enhances project management, and predicts maintenance needs, revolutionizing construction practices. Similarly, in marine industries (Onshore, Nearshore and Offshorestructures), AI facilitates autonomous navigation, monitors environmental sustainability, and optimizes supply chains for efficient port operations. this article envisions a future where AI and engineering synergize for innovative, efficient, and sustainable advancements in infrastructure development and maritime operations. Artificialintelligence (AI) has catalyzed a profound transformation within civil engineering and marine industries. This article delves into the multifaceted applications of AI, examining its impact on structural design optimization, smart construction, and predictive maintenance in civil engineering. Simultaneously, AI's role in autonomous navigation, environmental monitoring, and supply chain optimization within marine industries is explored. Looking ahead, the future landscape involves interdisciplinary collaboration and the establishment of regulatory frameworks to navigate these transformative changes responsibly.
