Abstract:
In this research, the lethal and repellent effects of the botanical insecticides Tondexir® and Palizin® and the chemical acaricides Cyflumetofen (Danisaraba®) and abamectin + spirodiclofen (Envidor® Speed) were investigated on the adult females of the two-spotted spider mite in laboratory conditions. The concentrations of ۰.۱, ۰.۲, ۰.۳, ۰.۴, ۰.۵, and ۰.۶ ppm for Danisaraba® and Envidor® Speed and the concentrations of ۰, ۵۰۰, ۱۰۰۰, ۱۵۰۰, ۲۰۰۰, and ۳۰۰۰ ppm for Tondexir® and Palizin® were used along with the control treatment (distilled water). The experiments were conducted in a completely randomized design with four replications. The results showed that the mortality rate of this pest increases significantly with the increase in the concentration of all four insecticides ۲۴ h after the treatment. The LC۵۰ values of Tondexir®, Palizin®, Envidor® Speed, and Danisaraba® were ۵۳۹۶.۶, ۳۱۳۱.۹, ۱۰۸۶.۶, and ۹۵۴.۱ ppm, respectively. Palizin® had the most lethal effect among the two investigated botanical insecticides. Danisaraba® acaricide showed a higher lethal effect on the females of the two-spotted spider mite compared to Envidor® Speed acaricide. The repellent effect of both Tondexir® and Palizin® (especially Palizin®) on this pest was more than the studied chemical acaricides; however, their LC۵۰ was higher than the two mentioned chemical acaricides.
