Abstract:

Spiritual care is a main element of holistic nursing and can help improve the health of patients. One of thenecessary things to provide proper spiritual care to patients is to have the necessary competency in this regard.Therefore, the present descriptive-analytical study was conducted with the aim of determining the competencyspiritual care on ۱۲۰ nurses working in hospitals affiliated to Zahedan University of Medical Sciences in ۲۰۲۳.The data collection tool was a questionnaire (competemcy scale was spiritual care (Data analysis was done usingspss۲۲ software and descriptive tests, independent t analysis and Pearson's correlation coefficient. The resultsof the present study showed that the average score of nurses' spiritual care qualification is ۶۴.۸۰ ± ۱۵.۵۷, whichshows that the professional qualification score of nurses is low. Therefore, strengthening the moral and spiritualfoundations of nurses, developing a coherent educational program and content, and applying appropriateeducational strategies by nursing managers can improve the provision of spiritual care to patients by nurses.
