The pelationship between ABO blood groups and Rh factor with dental caries in soldiers of a military base in Kerman

The aim of this study was to investigate relationship between the ABO blood groups,Rh factor with prevalence of dental caries.data on blood group and dental caries prevalence were collected from ۴۵۷ soldiers of ۰۵ military base in Kerman.the mean (SD) age of soldiers was ۱۹(۱) years.the overall mean and SD of decayed,missing and filled teeth (DMF index) was ۴.۳(۳.۲) the mean value for DMF index was the lowest in B blood group(۳.۹) and the highest in AB blood group (۴.۹),however no statistically significant difference was observed(p=۰.۰۹).the DMF index was not found to be related to Rh blood factor.
