Abstract:

Some viruses target and infect cancer cells specifically these viruses called oncolytic viruses. oncolytic viral therapy is a new strategy against cancer. oncolytic viral therapy is a new promising strategy against cancer. OVs can replicate in cancer cells and leading to lysis of the tumor mass. OVs able also stimulate the immune system. The first and most potent virus used on oncolytic viro therapy is human adenoviruses and is one of the most frequently employed oncolytic virus because of its capacity in tumor cell lysis and immune response stimulation. upregulation of immunostimulatory signals induced by oncolytic AdVs might significantly remove local immune suppression and amplify antitumor immune response. in this review we discuss the general mechanism and function of OVs specifically AdVs in the in the treatment through the stimulating immune system.
