Abstract:

The energy on buildings with an architectural and geotechnical approach involves the integration of energy-efficient design principles and geotechnical considerations into the building design process. This approach aims to reduce the energy consumption of buildings, minimize their environmental impact, and improve their overall performance. From an architectural perspective, energy-efficient design principles involve the use of passive design strategies, such as optimizing building orientation, using high-performance insulation, and maximizing natural ventilation and daylighting. Active design strategies, such as the use of renewable energy sources, energy-efficient lighting and HVAC systems, and energy storage technologies, are also important considerations. From a geotechnical perspective, the approach involves the use of appropriate foundation systems, soil stabilization techniques, and site grading and drainage strategies to optimize the building's performance. Geotechnical considerations can also help to mitigate the effects of natural hazards, such as earthquakes, landslides, and floods.
