Abstract:
In this work, we report on the simple synthesis of Terbium doped zinc tungstate (Tb:ZnWO۴)
nanocrystals for optical application. The structure, and optical properties of the synthesized
nanopowders(NPs) were investigated. The prepared Tb:ZnWO۴ NPs were in a pure
monoclinic crystalline phase with crystallite size of ۷۳ nm. The FESEM image indicated the
presence of spherical/cubic nanoparticles with an average particle size of ۹۵-۱۱۰ nm. Under
UV irradiation, a considerable luminescence emission was observed in the blue/green spectral
regions. The facile synthesized luminescent nanoowders provides promising applications in
future optical sensors.
