Determining the slope stability is one of the initial and crucial stages in the design of open-pit mines.Increasing the slope contributes to a higher extractable reserve, but, on the other hand, it raises the riskof bench collapse, leading to potential human and financial losses. Therefore, slope analysis anddetermining a stable slope angle are of particular importance. In this study, using the limit equilibriummethod and the SLIDE software, an analysis of the stability of the southwest walls of the Sungun coppermine was conducted. The stability analysis results indicate a safety factor of ۱.۵۶, which is reasonablysatisfactory; however, measures need to be taken to increase this factor further.
