Abstract:
This research aims to develop a fuzzy expert system that can diagnose the presence of heart disease. The system is based on data from the V.A. Medical Center in Long Beach and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. It consists of ۱۳ input fields and one output field, with the input fields including factors such as chest pain type, blood pressure, cholesterol, and age. The output field indicates the presence of heart disease and is assigned an integer value ranging from ۰ to ۴. The system used the Mamdani inference method and was developed using Matlab software. The system is ۹۶% accurate compared to the data in the database and can be considered an alternative to existing methods for detecting heart disease.
