Abstract:

The construction industry is currently in the process of initiating the integration of technologiesassociated with the fourth industrial revolution. While sectors such as artificial intelligence andcomputer science are rapidly transforming various industries, the construction sector has beencomparatively slower in adopting these innovative technologies. Various factors contribute to thisdelayed acceptance, including the industry's high risks and inherent dangers in comparison to otherindustrial fields, as well as the substantial costs associated with construction and maintenance. Theseobstacles hinder the widespread implementation of cutting-edge technological advancements in theconstruction industry. Presently, the use of diverse types of robots, including ۳D printing robots, alongwith integration with building information modeling and automation, aims to modernize constructionworkshops. This integration not only enhances productivity and efficiency but also reduces costs byminimizing human intervention in repetitive and hazardous tasks. Consequently, this technologicalprogression not only promotes financial savings but also improves safety measures. Nevertheless, alongside the advantages that technology brings, there are certain challenges that need to be addressed. These challenges include potential job losses for human resources in workshops, the requirement foradvanced machinery, equipment, and the need for skilled operators well-versed in robotic systems.Consequently, this study aims to investigate the influential factors in the research fields of robots andautomation. Utilizing R studio software as a bibliometric analysis tool, the study evaluates a total of۶۹۷ articles sourced from journals and conferences in the Scopus database over the past decade. Theaim is to identify research gaps and propose suggestions for future studies in this area.
