Abstract:

A part of the plan for sustainable development is green construction. Therefore, it is essential to establish an overview of current theoretical views, trends, applications, and restrictions towards creating green, environmentally sustainable buildings concerning the environmental evaluation and energy performance of buildings. Green construction aims to optimize energy efficiency and lessen a building's negative environmental effects over its full life cycle, from construction to use to eventual removal. Green buildings can reduce climate change, conserve natural resources, and enhance residents' health and well-being by using ecologically friendly techniques. Although there is agreement on several advantages of green buildings, there is ongoing discussion regarding how much more expensive they are initially to create. Furthermore, by fostering the establishment of new businesses like renewable energy and sustainable materials, green construction can also boost economic expansion and create new job opportunities. As a result, green construction is a crucial component of sustainable development and must be considered while designing, building, and using structures. This essay reviews and organizes some important studies on green building's implementation difficulties. Also, it discusses several outstanding studies on the effects of green building on the environment.
