The Future of Tourism: A Futuristic Perspective on Slow Tourism

Slow tourism is a theme of travel that values the environment, cultural identities, and historical contexts while prioritizing social responsibility. It provides a wide variety and nurtures connections between visitors and locals by allowing them to live side by side. The purpose of this study is to offer a future oriented prospective on slow tourism. In this research, based on the existing literature on slow tourism, the meanings of the concepts and parameters of slow tourism have been investigated. The second step entails presenting the major trends in the tourism industry as well as four key scenarios while keeping in mind the fundamentals of futures research. This study provides an opportunity to start a Futuristic Perspective on Slow Tourism, but additional investigation is required. Future research might delve deeper into each scenario, look into alternative possibilities, and create plans for supporting slow travel in various scenarios. Such studies may offer insightful information to policy leaders, business professionals, and travelers, assisting them in navigating the tourism industry's uncertain future and ensuring that it develops in a way that is sustainable, socially responsible, and beneficial to all.
