Abstract:
There are challenges and factors concerning the gas separation using membranes which are theselectivity that determines the performance of the polymer membranes and there is theeconomic prospect. A vast number of polymers exist so we used a particular division whichdivides them into glass polymers and highly flexible rubbery polymers or ultra-high freevolume, glassy substituted polyacetylenes. Concerning the costs, rubbery polymers were muchmore inexpensive to operate since they are more accessible and have less energy requirementswhile glassy polymer membranes are much more selective and enable us to have a moreefficient performance using them. The polymer which meets our quota by being less expensiveand also having a moderate efficiency was Polyactive
