Abstract:

The impact of globalization on world tourism has led to increased competition among destinations seeking to establish optimal positions. Currently, tourism is recognized as one of the largest and most diverse industries in the world. Its rapid growth has brought about significant social, economic, and environmental changes, making it a key area of study for researchers. Congress tourism is one of the fastest-growing and most profitable sectors within the tourism industry. Due to the significant impact that conferences, exhibitions, and national and international festivals have on host regions, considerable attention is devoted to congress tourism. This type of tourism, event-based tourism, attracts tourists to destinations at various times of the year through the hosting of ceremonies, festivals, and competitions. Along with congress tourism, creative tourism experiences contribute to the development of social, cultural, and economic destinations. Creativity enables tourism destinations to develop innovative products quickly, giving them a competitive advantage over other destinations. Today, hosting events has become a significant factor in shaping strategies for cities and regions to attract tourists and capital. This not only provides the main driving force for the advancement and development of various tourism sectors but also transforms into a significant factor in enhancing the competitiveness of destinations.
