Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this research is to identify and prioritize critical factors for Human Resources Management (HRM) in the healthcare industry, particularly during the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Methodology
To achieve the research objective, a method is proposed that involves evaluating a questionnaire based on experts' views. The method utilizes paired comparisons and the fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine the weightage of success factors for HRM. The use of fuzzy AHP is a significant aspect of this method as it helps in determining the priorities of the identified factors.
Findings
The research findings highlight the absence of a model for identifying and prioritizing critical factors for HRM in the healthcare industry during challenging situations like the Covid-19 pandemic. The proposed method provides a solution by helping to identify and prioritize these critical factors.
Originality
This research contributes to the field by introducing a novel method that combines expert evaluation, paired comparisons, and fuzzy AHP to identify and prioritize critical factors for HRM in the healthcare industry. The use of fuzzy AHP adds a unique aspect to the method, allowing for the determination of priorities in a more nuanced manner.
