Abstract:

Steel shear walls are considered as a common system in the construction, renovation, and retrofitting of buildings. In this paper, a special type of improving sesmic behaviour of Khorjini connection, is proposed. Results indicate that the load capacity of the Khorhini steel plate shear wall system is ۲۶.۳۶% more than the rigid connection Khorjini model and its energy absorption is ۲۷.۳۷% more. Increasing in fishplate thickness is investigated. Results indicate that ۵۰% and ۶۶% increase in fishplate thickness lead ۹.۵% and ۱۲.۸% increase in the loading capacity, and ۶.۸% and ۱۰.۵% increase in energy absorption, respectively. Finally, it must be noted that R (behavior ratio) and μ (plasticity ratio) for steel double plate shear wall are ۷.۷۵ and ۸.۳۰, respectively.
