Abstract:

Supplying and controlling suitable daylight as one of the essential needs in architecture creates visual and thermal comfort in the building. Architects face limitations in lighting the central spaces of residential buildings with a deep plan. For this reason, daylight management systems are needed to create comfort in the space. Living organisms are equipped with unique daylight management systems to survive, and nature chooses the best response to benefit from daylight. The current research is of an applied type and by referring to library sources, bionic systems are examined for optimal daylight reception. In the next step, among the solutions investigated in nature for daylight management, the appropriate process is selected to improve the lighting of the central space of the residential building. Then the functional principles and structures are extracted from the biological data and used in the design of the daylighting system. At the end, the simulated model is evaluated and analyzed. The results indicate that the reflective louvre system designed inspired by the structure of the compound eye, the light intensity at the base level of the atrium increases in the spring, autumn and winter seasons and decreases in the summer season, and in general this system is suitable for receiving daylight. Optimum in spaces.
