Abstract:
The effect of ۸ weeks of high-intensity interval training and sesame seed supplement on the serum levels of CTRP-۱ in overweight men in Tehran, this research was a semi-experimental type with four groups and as a pre-test and It was a post-exam. Methodology: The statistical population of ۲۸ of them were randomly selected and randomly divided into ۴ groups: ۱: control, ۲: intermittent exercise, ۳: intermittent exercise + sesame seeds, ۴: sesame seeds. The exercise protocol included intense intermittent running exercises for ۸ weeks and ۳ sessions each week, each session lasting ۴۵ to ۶۰ minutes. The supplement group consumed ۵۰ grams of sesame seed powder daily and the placebo group consumed capsules containing two grams of dextrose. To analyze the data, ANOVA with ۲*۲ repeated measures was used. Findings: The results showed that the levels of CTRP-۱ changed significantly (p<۰.۰۵). Conclusion: Although according to the effect of sesame seed supplement on the levels of CTRP۱ in the present study following high-intensity interval training, more studies with different doses of this supplement are needed to prove the effects of weight loss and fat percentage reduction.
