A Rapid Review of User Experience Evaluation Methods

This paper offers a rapid reviewof user experience evaluation methods by compiling insights fromvarious sources, including academia and industry. It presents anoverview of the latest UX evaluation methods, analyzing them based ondifferent product development phases and the duration of experiencestudied. Despite the availability of various methods, correlations anddisassociations between UX and usability persist, emphasizing therequirement for sophisticated evaluation approaches. Additionally, theimportance of skilled researchers in employing mixed-methodapproaches, such as triangulation, is emphasized for accurate UXassessment. A review of many papers on UX has shown that userfriendlyevaluation technologies are crucial, emphasizing theimportance of such tools. These tools are essential for practitioners toaddress and improve poor user experiences effectively. Furthermore,longitudinal studies highlight discrepancies between evaluationmethods and their impact on developers' decisions, calling forheightened attention to methodological contrasts in UX evaluation forinformed software development practices.
