Preparation and Characterization of Thermal Conductivity of Novel Cellulose Acetate/Nano-SiO2 Composites for Energysaving, using Electrospinning Technique and Oxygen enrichedMethod abstract

In this work, the SiO2 nanoparticles were applied to amplify the thermal insulator's cellulose acetate(CA) nanofibers via electrospinning and the oxygen-enriched method. Hence, solutions of CA and CA/ SiO2were made by acetone/ dimethylacetamide (2:1) with oxygen enriching and Helium gas.The morphology and chemical structures of nanofibers were screened by SEM and FTIR. Finally, the thermal conductivity of media was calculated by the two-plate Togmeter device test method based on BS4745:2005, and the tensile strength features were evaluated under the ASTM D638-10 standard.According to SEM images, SiO2 nanoparticles incredibly covered the whole surface of CAnanofibers in CA/ SiO2 media in cloud shape. FTIR vibration spectrums confirmed the siloxane bandsvibrated at 475/75 cm-1 in the CA/ SiO2 mat. Moreover, the thermal conductivity of the CA/ SiO2 sheet was at0.044 (W.m-1. K-1) with 0.461 ±2.88 mm thickness. Additionally, the tensile stress of the CA/ SiO2 membranehad 0.461 MPa tensile stress at 3.05% tensile strain. Hence, the CA/ SiO2 composite mat has super lowthermal conductivity with good mechanical properties. Therefore, the production of cellulose acetate/nano-SiO2 composite for thermal conductivity improvement with energy-saving approaches, using theelectrospinning technique and oxygen-enriched method has excellent potential to be applied as super lowthermal conductivity for energy-saving.
