Community Fluctuation of Wintering Wterbirds in Relation to Environmental Factors in Zangi and Ahmadi Coastal Wetlands in Persian Gulf in 2010

The Petrochemical Special Economic Zone (PETZONE) is located in vicinity of Khor Zangi at Imam Khomeini Port. The Khor Zangi receives treatedwastewater of PETZONE. Effect of treated wastewater of PETZONE on species diversity, richness, Evenness, similarity and number of wintering migratory waterbirdsin Khor Zangi(manipulated Zone) and Khor Ahmadi (as a Controlling and Natural Zone coastal wetlands) were carried out from January to March 2010. 37 migratory waterbirds species were present in both coastal wetlands. Maximum number of waterbirds in KhorAhmadi (5353 individuals) was tenfold more than KhorZangi (510 individuals) in 10th Jan 2010. Maximum similarity between bird communities of Khor Zangi andKhor Ahmadi was 66.66 (0.61 Morista’s index) percent in February 2010 and Minimum similarity was 31.74(0.60 Maritsa’s index) percent in January 2010.Species diversity and richness of Khor Ahmadi was triplicate more than Khor Zangi. Species diversity and richness of Khor Ahmadi was triplicate more than KhorZangi. PH, EC, Turb. COD, BOD, NO3 - , SO4 -- , NO2 - , TSS and TDS of Khor Zangi were a little ore thanKhor Ahmadi. A little difference between factors ofwater of two Khors and noise pollution of PETZONEhas been cased significantly in number, species diversityand richness of waterbirds in winter 2010
