Determination of industrial Customers’ Priority in Order to Compensate Generation Shortage abstract
Many approaches have been proposed for direct load management at industrial consumers based on bilateral contracts between electric utilities and these consumers. In this paper to avoid parameters corresponding to those approaches that are usually difficult to evaluate, a heuristic approach has been proposed to determine interruptible industrial consumers and amount of their interruptible load based on their load management activities. A new parameter called “Factory Maximum Demand Level” (FMDL) is introduced and electrical load management criteria are proposed and effect of each criterion on industrial customers’ factory maximum demand level is shown. Finally to highlight the effect of proposed audit a case study including illustrated parameters, to determine the interruptible load of a typical industrial customer is presented.
