Thermodynamical Study of halozhenal quinone: A theoreticalstudy abstract
Quinones are a class of organic compounds that are conventionally obtained from the oxidation ofaromatic compounds (such as benzene or naphthalene). This family's older and better-known member is thecompound 1,4-benzoquinone, often referred to as "quinone". In this research, when the quinone structure isaffected by two fluorine atoms, its thermodynamic parameters and electromotive force are investigated. Theresults indicated that the molecular structure of quinone and the substitutions on the carbon ring are amongthe factors affecting the electrochemical behavior of quinones.
