Abstract:

Sandwich panel inserts are susceptible to pull-out loads, and predicting the pull-out force is challenging due to the many damage mechanisms that may occur. To investigate the simulation of extracting the pull-out force, for the inserts of sandwich panels, a research by Mr. Ralph Seaman and Dieter Krause [۱], under the title of numerical modeling of partially potted inserts in honeycomb sandwich panels under pull-out load, has been investigated. In this article, the analysis for two nonlinear finite element states is described. One of these two models is a continuous ۳D model in which the core (honeycomb sandwich panel) is analyzed using ۸ nodes with a homogeneous material model, and the other is a detailed mesoscale model with a detailed honeycomb cell representation, which is The use of ۴ nodes is modeled. The simulation results are compared with the experimental data of the reference configuration. Both models are capable of accurately predicting power, while the continuous ۳D model can be considered favorable for most applications due to the reduced computational effort. Next, the three-dimensional model of the meso scale was analyzed in Abaqus software and the results obtained were compared with the results of the mentioned article
