Effect of Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles on germination characters of tomato(Lycopersicum esculentum abstract

In this research, effects of zinc oxide nanoparticles on germination characters of tomato were studied. Concentrations of zinc oxide nanoparticles (0,5,10,50,100,500 and 1000 mgL-1) were prepared and used for treating of tomato seeds in petri dishes. After one week, germination rate, mean germination time, germination index and weight germination index were measured. The results showed different concentrations of zinc oxide nanoparticles have no effect statistically but higher concentrations have inhibitory effects.
