Abstract:
The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of communication skills training in increasing hardiness and reducing neuroticism in divorced women. The research design is experimental and pre-test-post-test with a control group. All divorced women referring to Tehran welfare centers consisted he research statistical population. The sample members answered the hardiness and NEO questionnaires and finally, among the respondents, ۳۰ people whose scores in the mentioned questionnaires were higher than a standard deviation from the average, were selected and randomly alternated between the experimental and control groups (each group ۱۵ women) were assigned. The experimental group was trained in communication skills for ۶ sessions. Covariance analysis was used to compare the post-test of both groups. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the mean scores of pre-test-post-test in the experimental and control groups. From the above findings, it can be concluded that communication skills training is effective in improving the psychological qualities of divorced women.
