Abstract:

The advent of artificial intelligence (AI) marks a pivotal point in the dynamic relationship between culture and technology, necessitating a comprehensive re-evaluation of how these two entities coexist and shape each other. This paper explores the necessity to redefine the culture-technology relationship in light of AI, drawing on critical theoretical perspectives, empirical evidence, and contemporary academic discourse. By examining the historical context, foundational theories, and contemporary developments, the paper aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the evolving culture-technology nexus and its implications for society. Key areas of focus include cultural identity, ethical considerations, cross-cultural perspectives, policy frameworks, socio-economic impacts, and educational implications. The paper employs a meta-synthesis methodology to integrate findings from diverse research studies, generating new insights and a comprehensive understanding of the subject. Recent academic findings and case studies are incorporated to illustrate the diverse implications of AI across various cultural sectors. The paper concludes with recommendations for inclusive and equitable AI development, advocating for a balanced integration that respects and enhances human diversity and creativity.
