Abstract:
In this study, growth and pigments formation by Spirulina platensis was separately investigated underillumination by white, red, blue and mixed red-blue LEDs. The highest growth (۶.۴ g/L) was obtained under redLEDs. Phycocyanin, chlorophyll-a and carotenoid productions showed ۸۰, ۸۵ and ۷۵% improvements under redcompared to blue LEDs.
