In this project preparation of molecularly imprinted polymer is checked for selective extraction and determination of benzhydrol from diphenhydramine hydrochloride drug.Various parameters such as time, pH, type of eluent for elution of impurities from polymer, concentration of sample and saturation of polymer were evaluated and optimized. Finally, the amount of impurities in real sample using molecularly imprinted polymer and HPLC analysis system was studied and performance of this technique was proved in purification of drug.
