DFT calculations on the hormone treatment of Rubus caesius by Gibberllic acid (GA) as hormone showed that interaction of farnesyl cation (intermediate) and GA provided repulsion and disturbed the suitable conformation and arrangement of intermediate in favor of less stable product longifolene than that of cadinene.
