Optimization of conditions for cefixime extraction by ultrasonic assisted dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction abstract

A simple, rapid and solvent-minimized method for cefixime extraction in water samples is uses of ultrasound-assisted dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction coupledwith high-performance liquid chromatography. This method involved the rapid injection of a mixture of disperser and extraction solvent to an aqueous solution of analyte. After ultrasonication and centrifugation the extraction phase was directly injected into the HPLC system. Some parameters affecting the extraction efficiency were investigated and optimized. The linear range was obtained from 0.1 to 10μg.mL-1 and RSDs was 1-8 %.
