Abstract:

The Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel cell(PEMFC) is one of the promising candidates for thefuture energy supply. So, the prediction of thetransport phenomena is crucial to enhance itsperformance. The mathematical-based models cansimulate the phenomena easily and in the fastesttime. In the present study, an innovative analyticalapproach based on the perturbation method isproposed. The governing equations which consist ofthe continuity, momentum, and energy equations aresolved analytically by using the regular perturbationmethod. In the present work, the energy equation issolved analytically and the temperature distributionis achieved in the reactant gas channel of thePEMFC. Also, the results are validated by thenumerical solution data.
