Evaluation of changes in the Net Primary Production under the influence of climatic fluctuations in Mashhad Chenaran plain

The present study was conducted in order to investigate the effect of ambient temperature and rainfall on Net Primary Production (NPP) during ۲۰۰۰-۲۰۱۶ climatic statistical period in Mashhad Chenaran plain using Modis satellite remote sensing. First, the climatic factors data such as air temperature and total precipitation as well as the studied NPP by month during the studied climatic period from remote sensing sources and related satellite maps was extracted in the ArcGIS ۱۰.۶. Also, the maps of long-term studied index average by month were prepared and analyzed in the ArcGIS software. Comparison of long-term average changes in air temperature, total precipitation, and NPP during ۲۰۰۰-۲۰۱۶ statistical period in the Mashhad Channaran basin showed that the NPP changes are similar to total precipitation changes in the region during the months of years. The NPP increased from June to May, then rapidly decreased until July and increased again until September and then decreased until the end of the year. The total results of the study showed that changes in climatic factors in the region caused a decrease in the NPP, and an increase in these factors caused an increase in this index in the ۱۷-year period studied. Also, the results showed the dependence of the NPP on total precipitation changes.
