Relationship Between Overconfidence and Reselection of CEO with an Emphasis on His Performance abstract

The present study investigates the relationship between CEO overconfidence and reselection probability, emphasizing the CEO's performance in 111 companies listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange from 2011 to 2020. The investigations led to the approval of the first hypothesis, indicating a negative relationship between CEO overconfidence and turnover. But the second research hypothesis was rejected, meaning that the CEO's performance does not adjust the relationship between the CEO's overconfidence and reselection. Analysis of the research hypotheses in these groups showed that CEO overconfidence and turnover are negatively related, and the CEO's performance cannot adjust this relationship.
