Analyzing 21st-Century Critical Curriculum Literacy from teacher candidates' viewpoints abstract
The goal of this study was seeking the attitudes of a group of EFL teachers on the hows and whys of using the two applications of WhatsApp and Telegram in their teaching classes as well as investigating the advantages and disadvantages related to each one. It was a mix-method study using both qualitative and quantitative data collection procedures. In this regard, for the qualitative aspect, interview was used and for the quantitative part, a questionnaire was used. To this goal, 80 EFL teachers responded to two questionnaire seeking their attitudes. According to the responses, it was concluded that teachers of the study enjoyed the use of applications since they could have effective communication with their students; however, they referred to several important limitations in terms of poor internet, lack of availability of internet for some of the learners and technical limitations for both applications.
