Abstract:
The widespread application of power electronics is increasing the number of electrical loads which distort the current and coltages supplied by the ac line. APLC (Active power Line Condithioner) is a type OF Active power filter that compenstates the coltage waveform distortion caused by harmonics in a power system. Therefore the impact of voltage harmonics can be minimized by using an active power line conditioner (APLIC) to inject compensating current. In this paper , a method to control an APLC using Neural Network and Genetic algorithm is presented.
The simulation results show hat the new system is a simple effective scheme to line harmonics compensation.
