Comparison of the level of digital literacy between teachers and high school students of public schools in Tabriz city abstract

This research was conducted to compare the level of digital literacy between teachers and high school students in Tabriz public schools. The research method was descriptive and survey-type. The statistical population included all high school students and teachers in Tabriz city. The number of high school students in Tabriz was 60,377 and the number of teachers was 1,350. According to Cochran's formula, the sample size of students was 382 people and the sample size of teachers was 299 people. Sampling was done by random cluster. To collect research data, the standard digital literacy questionnaire of Rodriguez et al. (2016) was used. Independent t-test with SPSS version 18 software was used for data analysis. The results showed that the average digital literacy and dimensions of technological skill, critical skill and device security skill among high school students of public schools in Tabriz city were significantly higher than teachers. There was no significant difference in the dimensions of personal security, information and communication skills among teachers and high school students in Tabriz public schools.
