Futures studies and analysis Renewable energies in the automotive industry

Today, considering the environmental consequences, the world is taking more steps towards using renewable energies instead of fossil fuels for energy production. Renewable energy possesses three crucial characteristics, with perhaps the most important being its cleanliness compared to fossil fuels, which have significant environmental impacts on the human ecosystem. Additionally, its availability sets it apart from fossil fuels that are finite resources. As implied by its name, renewable energy is sustainable unlike fossil fuels that will eventually deplete. Given these points, it must be noted that the automotive industry is also shifting towards sustainable and clean energies by producing electric and hybrid vehicles. The aim of this research is to review renewable energies in the automotive industry alongside future prospects in this field. This article briefly examines renewable energies and electric vehicles, analyzing their use by automotive companies such as Ford, BMW, and Audi in utilizing renewable energies like solar and wind power.
