Simulating a highly sensitive fiber optic-basedtemperature sensor for seawater abstract
The aim of this paper is to simulate a highsensitivitytemperature sensor for seawater based on acoreless optical fiber. To achieve this, a highly sensitiveseawater temperature sensor was constructed by mixing apiece of coreless fiber. The research results indicate thatincreasing the coating length in these sensors leads to anenhanced sensitivity to temperature changes. Additionally, choosing different lengths for the coreless optical fiber has asignificant impact on the temperature sensitivity and spectralcharacteristics of the resulting sensor. Due to the uniquefeatures of coreless optical fibers, such as low dispersion, better transmission in specific wavelength ranges, andsensitivity to environmental changes, these sensors have thepotential to provide effective solutions for temperaturemeasurement in seawater. This study not only contributes toimproving the performance of fiber optic temperature sensorsbut also advances high-speed data transmission and sensorapplications in specific environments
