Evaluation of the air conditioning system in the administrative units of an industrial company in Ahvaz city abstract
Background: One of the factors affecting the air quality inside buildings is the performance of air conditioningsystems. These systems provide clean air without odor, temperature, humidity and air flow for the comfort andconvenience of the residents. The present study was conducted with the aim of Evaluation of the airconditioning system in the administrative units of an industrial company in Ahvaz city.Methods: To evaluate HVAC system performance flow rate was measured in distributors. Also, the average airtemperature, humidity, and average relative humidity were measured. Finally, the average air flow rateentering the place and the required air flow rate for the measurement places were calculated in terms of cubicfeet per minute and compared with the existing standards.Results: The qualitative evaluation of the ventilation system at the measuring points showed that in all themeasuring stations, the employees were faced with an optimal level of thermal comfort.Conclusion: According to the obtained results, the above-mentioned ventilation systems can have a goodefficiency in order to provide the comfort and thermal comfort of the employees.
