Abstract:

This semi-experimental research is based on sampling and a comparative group design that compares the growth of participants' speaking skills against low and high motivation as well as low and high self-motivation. Reliability characteristics through pretest-posttest measurement design. Based on the results in the KET speaking test, for the group with high academic motivation of A۲.۲ English language learners and for the group with high academic self-confidence of A۲.۲ elementary English language learners, significantly better scores. Therefore, the high motivation and self-confidence of English language learners increases their speaking skills significantly.
