Abstract:

Although collaboration is considered important in second language education, students’perceptions of collaboration have not been investigated. So, the present study aims to explore theIranian English-as-a-foreign-language (EFL) students’ perceptions of collaboration. The presentstudy used a mixed methods design, i.e. questionnaire and interview. The participants were ۱۰۸(۷۶ female and ۳۲ male) Iranian EFL students. The questionnaire results showed that most of thestudents found collaboration helpful in many aspects. The interview data also revealed that theEFL students were strongly in favor of collaboration. The findings of the present study haveimplications for material developers.
