Disagreement of linguists about the structure andclassification of compound verbs in Persian language abstract
Compound verbs in any language are usually challenging, and the reason is that there arecertain rules and patterns that must be followed and require careful understanding andgrammatical knowledge. In Persian grammar, like many other languages, the compound verbis one of the challenging debates that has caused many disagreements between linguistsand researchers in this field. Our purpose of this research is to provide a description of thecompound verb in the theoretical framework of Omid Tabibzadeh, and the reason forchoosing the theory of this linguist is that his theories are understandable and the processingof compound verbs by the machine will be done by applying these theories. Here weintroduce and review some important opinions of linguists such as: Tabatabai, Dabir-Moghaddam and Tabibzadeh.
