Study of growth regulators on plant growth of Marigold in Iran region abstract
A field experiment was carrid out during winter season of 2022 at the Main Experiment Station, Department of Plant Production, Islamic Azad University, Iran. The experiment was conducted in Randomized block design (RBD) with 10 treatments and each treatment replicated three. The treatments consist of different combinations of plant growth regulators (Gibberellic acid, Salicylic acid and Sea weed extract). The treatment (Gibberellic acid150ppm) was found the statistically significant compared to other treatment combination, which recorded highest plant height (45.21 cm), Number of branches per plant (44.61), Dimeter of stem (1.85 cm), Number of leaves per plant (119.98) and Plant spread (38.14 cm2) in African marigold (Tagetes erecta). With the increase in the concentration of GA3 diameter increases due to a reflection of the stimulation of cambium and its immediate cell progeny. Similar results were also in Marigold.(8).
