A Study of Danielewski’s House of Leaves in the Light of Modern Physics

The current study is an analysis of Mark. Z. Danielewski’s House of Leaves in terms of physicsand cosmology’s theories. It is applied the cosmology theories such as Wheeler’s the participatoryanthropic principle to identify reality in microcosms (the novel) and in the macrocosms (theuniverse), Poplawski’s theory about the black hole to show the comparison between this theoryand Chinese boxes structure of the novel and the effort have been made to trace fourth-dimensionalspace’ signs in the novel to explain why the novel has an unusual format. With the help of thesetheories mentioned, it is proved there is a close relationship between postmodern literature andphysics. In the twentieth century, discoveries in science have affected literature and House ofLeaves, like other postmodern works, was influenced by modern physics.
