A review of scientific research background in the field of architectural regeneration approach for ineffective buildings context abstract

Dilapidation and inefficiency is the fate that urban and rural contexts that remain unchanged for many years face it. These structures are either destroyed and renovated or inevitably changed, but the important question in this context is, in what dimensions and how should these changes get occurred ? The present article intends to review the background of basic scientific researches on the regeneration approach as the most up-to-date intervention method for dilapidated and ineffective buildings, in order to seek the significant key points of this approach with a comprehensive analysis. In this regard, as the present article has a comprehensive and complete look at the subject, it can be categorized as a Narrative Review article and on the other hand, as it focuses on a specific topic and presents a different final result, it can also be recognized as a Systematic Review article.
