Binding of antibody to the surface of magnetic nanoparticles and itsinvestigation abstract

Magnetic nanoparticles have shown promise in biotechnology due to their low toxicity, superparamagnetism, high surface area and simple separation. In this regard, it is very important tomodify their surface to prevent to forming agglomorates and their biocompatibility. Therefore, in thisstudy, nanoparticles were coated with 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane and then Anti-human CD3antibody was chemically attached to the surface of nanoparticles. Flow cytometry test was used tocheck antibody binding to the surface of nanoparticles and the amount was calculated. The amountof binding with Mean Fluorescent Intensity (MFI) was expressed which is based on the fluorescentlight of nanoparticles containing antibodies and those without antibodies.
