A Tissue-Adhesive, Wound Contracting, Injectable, Electroconductive andAntioxidant, Granular Hydrogel for Diabetic Ulcer Regeneration abstract

Two types of microgels, including polydopamine-modified microgels and microgels incorporatedwith superficial epoxy groups were synthesized and applied as precursors of an injectable granularhydrogel. The hydrogel precursor was injected into the wound bed after activation of amine functionalgroups of muscle proteins, and enabling the adhesion process. The properties of the preparedhydrogel, including robust tissue adhesion, injectability, electrical conductivity, wound contraction,biocompatibility, and biodegradability significantly accelerated the healing process of diabeticwounds in full-thickness skin wound models in rats. These results highlight the potential of thedeveloped hydrogel to improve wound management across diverse clinical scenarios
