Bionanocomposite Hydrogels Based on Silk Fibroin/poly )ionic liquid(Incorporated with Bioactive Glass Nanoparticles for BiomedicalApplications abstract

Chemically modified hydrogels have gained prominence in the biomedical field and tissueregeneration due to their ability to create a favorable cellular microenvironment and providemechanical support. In this study, we prepared silk fibroin (SF)-based hydrogels using glycidylmethacrylate (Sil-GMA) and evaluated their physical characteristics. Additionally, dissolving silkfibroin with ionic liquids (ILs) emerged as an effective method to obtain biomaterials with highlyimproved or tailored properties. We also incorporated bioactive glass nanoparticles to enhance themechanical strength of the hydrogel, making it suitable for drug delivery and bone formation.
